About Us
The Centre Playgroup Early Learning and Child Care is a charitable, non-profit organisation who works in partnership with Glasgow City Council.
The group was formed in 1971 to offer early learning and child care for children aged 3 – 5 years and is registered with the Care Inspectorate to cater for 35 children each session. We work in partnership with the local authority who provides funding for the children in our care and this year 2025-2026 we received funding from Glasgow City Council for 35 children.
All places are fully funded by Glasgow City Council.

The Community Centre is run by a hall management committee. The hall management committee is responsible for the hall lets, cleaning and general maintenance of the premises.
To contact hall management
The playgroup is open to all sections of the community and no-one is excluded on the grounds of race, religion, gender or ability. All teaching and play is strictly non-denominational, which includes teaching related to the festivals of various religions and cultures.
The group is run by a committee of volunteer parents/carers who are elected at our AGM each year. Any parents/carers are welcome and encouraged to join our committee.
